   Cross to Eugens for a shot of house-distilled Obstler (fruit schnapps). Tyrolean schnapps distilling stretches back to the 1500s when monasteries first distilled Alpine fruit. Ask which fruit — Williams pear is the classic.

   Last Gondola Wine Terrace

   Grab a wine terrace seat facing south-west. Time the last gondola down (4:45pm) — leave 15 minutes early or you're walking. The controlled chaos of everyone racing for the last lift is pure Sölden theatre.
