   At 2,085 meters above sea level, Stefan Fahrner runs one of Europe's highest 3-Gault-Millau-toque restaurants at the Galzigbahn mountain station. The Verwallstube serves French-inspired alpine cuisine with exceptional Austrian wines alongside French classics. Book at least 1 week ahead for dinner and tell them you're there for the wine experience - they'll adjust recommendations accordingly. Thursday evenings add candlelight and piano for the full alpine dining theater.

   🔄 BACKUP: Lunch (12-2pm) is easier to book and features the same kitchen - just without the evening atmosphere.

   After dinner at the Galzigbahn station, the ski down to St. Anton village is magical - the piste is groomed, village lights glow below, and you've got the mountain nearly to yourself. Check last gondola time if you don't want to ski, but the blue-graded run is well-lit and the reward for staying late.

   🔄 BACKUP: The Galzigbahn runs until after dinner service ends. If you'd rather not ski, ride down.
