After riding the tunnel lift inside Trümmelbach Falls, start at the top viewing platform and count as you walk down: 1, 2, 3... Some waterfalls are close (spray-soaking distance), others across a chasm. Notice how the rock is carved smooth by centuries of glacial water. By waterfall #10, you're deep inside the mountain with the spray coating everything and the roar drowning out conversation.

The water transports 20,000 tonnes of glacier debris per year from a 24 km² catchment area, and the force makes the entire mountain shake. Inside Trümmelbach Falls, walk to a close-up viewing platform (usually waterfalls #3, #5, or #7) and place your hand flat against the rock wall. You'll feel it vibrate - a deep, constant thrum from the glacial meltwater carving the mountain from inside. This is erosion happening in real-time.

   🔄 BACKUP: If platforms are too wet or crowded to touch the wall, stand still and feel the vibration through your feet. The entire walkway system trembles. Or crouch down and put your hand on the metal railing - it conducts the vibration clearly.

At the Trümmelbach Falls entrance/exit info area, find the watershed map and trace the water's path: Jungfrau summit → glacier → melt → underground streams → Trümmelbach (inside mountain) → exit into valley. The 20,000 litres per second represents melt from three of Switzerland's most iconic peaks across a 24 km² catchment area, half covered in permanent snow and ice.
