   Walk the Esplanadi promenade from Kappeli eastward towards the harbour. This tree-lined park has been Helsinki's social runway since the 1830s, when Russian officers from the nearby garrison strolled here drinking French champagne — a luxury imported through the Grand Duchy's privileged trade channels. The same park where champagne flowed under imperial rule became the park where Prohibition banned it (1919-1932), and is now the park where Essi Avellan MW runs one of Europe's finest champagne bars 100 metres away. Walk the full length and register the arc.

   Walk to the eastern end of Esplanadi park, where the park meets the harbour at Kauppatori — the same market square where you boarded the ferry on Day 1. Stand here and face the water. Four days ago, you looked at Helsinki from a ferry wondering what a city with zero vineyards could teach you about wine. Now you know: Prohibition to Master of Wine in 77 years. 40+ wine bars from zero in 14 years. Finnish sauna culture fused with natural wine. A state monopoly that became a virtue. This spot — where the harbour meets the Esplanadi — is where your loop closes.

   If you bought a wine at Alko, open it in the park (Finland allows public drinking in parks — one of Europe's most permissive public consumption laws). If you didn't buy wine, raise whatever you have — water, coffee, a can of Koff beer from the kiosk. The toast is to the arc: a king's failed trading post (1550), a city that burned down repeatedly, a plague that killed two-thirds of its people, Russian occupation, Swedish abandonment, Prohibition, and then — somehow — one of Europe's most sophisticated wine cultures.
