   Find the WWII Hidden Bottles

   When Germans occupied Chamonix during WWII, the Carrier family hid their best bottles in the cellar. Some bottles pre-date the occupation by decades. During your 45-60 minute tour, ask Youri Greffe: 'Which bottles survived the war?' He'll show you the corner where they were hidden. Ask about: oldest bottle still drinking well, WWII hiding spots, 1957 flood damage, family acquisitions across 5 generations.

   🔄 BACKUP: If Youri isn't leading the tour, any staff can tell the WWII story - it's central to the cellar's mythology.

   Taste Across Decades

   The tour includes tasting 3-5 wines from different decades. Some bottles in this cellar were purchased by Youri's great-great-grandfather in 1903. They survived two World Wars, economic crashes, and a flood. They're still drinking beautifully. During tasting, don't just sip - ask the age of each wine, who purchased it, what was happening in the world when it was bottled. The context transforms the experience.
