   Enter Vin sur Vin's wine cave (112 Rue Joseph Vallot, red-and-white storefront) and find the Savoie section - it's the most heavily stocked. Ask staff: 'Which Jacquère from Apremont is drinking well NOW?' They've been curating this selection for 20+ years. They'll pull a €12-18 bottle. This is the wine that grows on limestone scree from the 1248 Mont Granier landslide - vines literally planted on an ancient catastrophe. The locals call it 'the single best cheese wine on the planet.' Go 6pm-7pm when staff have time to chat before dinner rush.

   Backup: Saturday market (8am-1pm at Place du Mont Blanc) has wine stalls selling local Savoie bottles €10-15. Or Nicolas wine shop at 223 Rue Joseph Vallot has smaller selection but good Apremont stock.
