   Arrive at Courchevel Altiport pre-dawn for hot air balloon takeoff as the sun rises. Flights ONLY operate in the morning due to mountain thermals. The balloon inflates as dawn breaks, and you'll float over the entire 3 Valleys, the Vanoise glaciers, and on clear days see Mont Blanc. The flight lasts 1-2 hours. Book through standard operators or premium through Six Senses. Weather cancellations are common, so book in advance.

   After 1-2 hours floating, the pilot finds a landing spot and the basket touches down. Then comes the centuries-old ballooning tradition: champagne with the crew.
