   The year Bellet was officially recognized - one of France's smallest AOCs.

   At the village of Saint-Roman-de-Bellet (bus 59 from Nice, 25 min), find the stone marker near the village center indicating "AOC Bellet - Established 1941." This is the only AOC between Cassis and Italy.

   Taste the Braquet Rouge

   A grape variety that exists nowhere else on Earth.

   During your tasting (€25 Découverte, 5 wines), specifically request the Cuvée Baron G rouge - it's 100% Braquet. Most visitors only try white and rosé. The red is the secret. Ask the guide which row of vines produced it.

   Walk to the estate's highest vineyard point (ask your guide). Face south. The Baie des Anges should be visible between the hills. Romans saw this exact view and decided the terroir was right. You're seeing what they saw.
