Barbaresco at Gaja

The village keeps its own opening rhythm rather than the estate's. The tower runs daily from 10:00 to 19:00 through the season, while its bistrot closes Monday and Tuesday. Nebbiolo is picked in October, when the Langhe fill with visitors for the truffle season, so a quieter visit means late spring or early autumn — and booking any restaurant table in the village ahead of arriving.

The estate does not publish visits, hours or prices, and there is no booking page — the only published contact is an email address. What is bookable in the village is priced: the Torre di Barbaresco is open every day 10:00–19:00 at €6.00 full, €5.00 reduced, with a bistrot beneath it open Wednesday to Sunday 10:00–20:00. The Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco sits at Piazza del Municipio 7.

Barbaresco is a village, not a town: the comune records 618 inhabitants and an average altitude of 274 metres. It sits in the Langhe hills north-east of Alba, and the appellation's four municipalities — Barbaresco, Neive, Treiso and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio — are within a few kilometres of one another. Arrive by car; the village core is small enough to cross on foot in minutes.
