   Start in Bomerano at Dawn

   Get to Bomerano (Agerola) by 6:30am. Take a pre-booked taxi from your hotel (€40-60 from Positano) or the first SITA bus from Amalfi (if running early enough). The trailhead is marked "Sentiero degli Dei" in the village center. Start walking as the sun rises behind you.

   Reach the "Balcony" Viewpoint

   The spot where the Amalfi Coast unfolds below.

   About 2km into the hike (45 min), you'll reach a famous viewpoint where the entire coast is visible - Positano, Capri, and the Sorrento Peninsula. The trail sweeps past olive groves and terraces. Stop here. This is why the ancients called it the Path of the Gods.

   Visit the Shepherd of the Gods

   Antonio's farmhouse refuge is a legendary trail stop.

   Look for a small farmhouse with a donkey named Limone. Antonio, "The Shepherd of the Gods," has run this refuge for decades. He offers fresh ricotta, bread, tomatoes, and homemade honey for €5-10. This is Story Potential 5 - the encounter travelers talk about for years.

   Descend the 1,700 Steps to Positano

   The legendary stone staircase down to the coast.

   At Nocelle, find the staircase leading down to Positano. It's 1,700+ stone steps (count them if you dare). Take your time - 45-60 minutes down. The steps are uneven and historic. You'll emerge near Positano's eastern beach. Your knees will know you've earned your wine.

   Celebrate at Franco's Bar

   Complete the journey with sunset wine at Le Sirenuse.

   After the hike, return to your hotel, shower, then head to Franco's Bar (exp-it-amalfi-001) for sunset. Order a Costa d'Amalfi white. You've walked the Path of the Gods and descended 1,700 steps. The wine tastes different now - earned, not just consumed.
