   Arrive at Lago Blu's north shore before 10:00 when the glacial lake is glass-still and the Matterhorn's 4,478m south face reflects perfectly. After 11:00, thermal winds destroy the mirror.

   The 2-minute walk from the small parking area (5 minutes downhill from Cervinia toward Valtournenche) reveals a natural mirror — the Matterhorn's Italian face reflecting in glacial water that's blue-green from alpine algae. This is THE postcard shot, but only in calm conditions between 8:00-10:00am. The pushchair-accessible paved path means you can roll your cooler to the perfect flat rocks on the north shore, away from road noise.

Observe how it affects you faster than at sea level — this is why Valle d'Aosta wines are traditionally lower alcohol (11-12%).
