If your tour includes La Crotta di Vegneron cooperative in Chambave, look for Rolland's actual signature on La Réserve bottles at certain wineries. During winery tastings, ask: 'Did Michel Rolland consult here?' or 'How do you deal with extreme altitude challenges?' The answers will echo Rolland's philosophy: work with nature, don't force it. High altitude = high acidity = pair with rich food. Don't fight it with malolactic or oak.
