Enrosadira is a LADIN word — the ancient Romance language still spoken in these valleys. It means 'turning pink/rose.' The Dolomite limestone (250 million years old) contains minerals that reflect sunset light as pink, coral, then crimson. On the terrace at Chalet Tofane (Socrepes lift station), before 17:00, ask someone at the bar: 'What does enrosadira mean in Ladin?' Then ask: 'What time does it start tonight?' Winter: 17:00-17:30. Summer: 18:00-18:30. Position yourself facing EAST toward the Dolomite peaks (Tofane massif).
🔄 BACKUP: If no one speaks English well, look for any posted information about sunset times. The phenomenon happens at sunrise too (called "enrosadira del mattino").
