   Tour the State Rooms

   Book the State Rooms tour at Hofburg (included in €18 ticket). These were the ballrooms where "waltz-mania" gripped royalty. The festivities were more lavish than any Congress before or after - Westphalia, Utrecht, or later conferences never matched Vienna.

   🔄 BACKUP: If sold out, explore the Sisi Museum portion (same ticket) which covers imperial entertaining.

   Visualize the Grand Sleigh Party

   history Free

   Stand in the courtyard (Michaelerplatz). In January 1815, over 30 sleighs led by "an immense sleigh drawn by six horses and containing an orchestra" departed from here. Guests watched skaters in elegant costumes before returning by torchlight to another ball.

   Experience a Vienna Ball (Seasonal)

   If visiting during Ball Season (Nov-Feb), attend the Vienna Opera Ball or Hofburg Silvesterball (book months ahead). This continues the Congress tradition directly.

   🔄 BACKUP: Year-round, attend a Strauss concert at Kursalon Wien (€59-89) - they serve champagne during intermission.
