   Enter the Ritz via the main Place Vendome entrance (#15). Walk through the lobby to Bar Vendome (the front bar, not Bar Hemingway at the back). The lobby itself is worth admiring - pink marble columns and mirrored panels. Dress code: smart casual.

   Order Champagne by the Glass

   Order champagne from the extensive list (from €25/glass). The bar stocks Krug, Dom Pérignon, Ruinart, and grower champagnes. Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed dined at L'Espadon restaurant in this hotel on August 31, 1997, before the fatal car crash at Pont de l'Alma.

   🔄 BACKUP: If champagne budget is tight, order a Kir Royale (champagne with crème de cassis) - still elegant.

   Find Churchill's Corner

   Ask the bartender about Churchill's preferred spot - he was a regular here. Teddy Roosevelt, Noël Coward, Marcel Proust, and generations of royalty passed through these doors. The staff know the history and often share stories if you ask.
