   CRITICAL NOTE: Crimea is currently occupied territory and under international sanctions. Travel is extremely complex and potentially dangerous. If accessible, Livadia Palace (built 1911 for Nicholas II) is now a museum. The white Italianate palace hosted FDR's delegation - he stayed in the Tsar's former bedroom.

   🔄 BACKUP: Due to travel restrictions, consider visiting the Imperial War Museum in London or the FDR Presidential Library in Hyde Park, NY, which have Yalta Conference exhibits.

   The round table where Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stalin divided post-war Europe is preserved. Stalin's infamous trick: his glass was secretly refilled with water while others got vodka. He used sobriety as a negotiating weapon - Churchill reportedly drank "buckets of Caucasian champagne" while Stalin stayed sharp.

   The Massandra Winery (founded 1894 by Prince Vorontsov) supplied wine for the conference. Their cellars hold over 1 million bottles, including pre-revolutionary vintages. The entire winery production was diverted to supply the Big Three summit.

   🔄 BACKUP: Massandra wines were auctioned at Sotheby's and Christie's - older vintages can occasionally be found at specialist wine auctions if you cannot travel to Crimea.
