History

Crémant production in Jura predates the 1995 AOC by centuries. The Rolet family, founded by Désiré Rolet in 1942, was instrumental in gaining AOC recognition for the sparkling style. Domaine Rolet grew to 65 hectares across all four Jura appellations. In 2018, the Devillard family (Burgundy négociants) acquired Rolet, continuing the tradition.
