History
Viticulture began 2,000+ years ago around Rocks of Solutré and Vergisson. After phylloxera devastation in late 1800s, Chardonnay became dominant. Pouilly-Fuissé AOC created 1936. Saint-Véran established 1971, Viré-Clessé 1999.
