History
Melon de Bourgogne arrived after 1709 freeze killed Loire vines. Louis Métaireau revolutionized quality 1960s - invented sur lie aging where wine stays on yeast lees until bottling, adding texture and complexity. His "Métaireau Method" became AOC requirement. Domaine de l'Écu (Guy Bossard) pioneered biodynamics 1970s. Three Crus Communaux created 2011 recognizing terroir differences.
