Corsica's SOUTHERNMOST vineyards - ancient granite and extreme Mediterranean heat produce concentrated, powerful wines.

History

Figari occupies Corsica's extreme south, closest to Sardinia. The landscape resembles a moonscape of weathered granite boulders. Viticulture here is heroic - extreme heat and drought stress concentrate flavors. Some producers cultivate Carcajolo Nero, an almost-extinct indigenous variety. AOC 1976.
