History
In 1633, Bishop Joseph Marie de Suarès coined: "Vinsobres, or sober wine - drink it soberly" (play on village name). September 7, 1957 graduated to Côtes du Rhône Villages. Then 1956 frost destroyed olive groves; farmers turned to vines. February 17, 2006: first Côtes du Rhône cru in Drôme department.
