Almaty Wine Festival

Almaty Wine Festival was a one-day wine tasting fair at Villa dei Fiori, Al-Farabi Avenue 140A, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The 2019 edition, on 14 September, let guests taste freely with winemakers from Old and New World wine houses. The same address hosted an International Wine Festival on 16 September 2023. No edition has been announced since then.

Almaty's wine dates now cluster between late June and mid-September. Vinitaly Kazakhstan Roadshow, a trade (B2B) tasting of Italian wine, ran on 29 June 2026 at the Rixos Almaty. Arba Wine's Harvest Festival followed on 29 August, the national sommelier final on 9 September at The Ritz-Carlton Almaty, and the Wine Picnic on Sunday 13 September on Zheltoksan Street in the city centre.

Tickets for Arba Wine's Harvest Festival on 29 August 2026 cost 40,000 tenge with transfer from Almaty or 38,000 tenge without, sold through arbawine.tibox.me and Freedom Ticketon; entry was strictly 21 and over. The Wine Picnic on 13 September 2026 admitted ticket holders aged 21 and over, with children under 15 free alongside an adult. Prices change between editions, so check the organiser's listing and book ahead.

The festival's last site, Villa dei Fiori, sits in the Villa Boutiques & Restaurants complex at Al-Farabi Avenue 140A, in Almaty's Bostandyk district. For the harvest festival, Arba Wine's vineyards lie near the village of Karakemer, about 70 km from Almaty and roughly an hour and a half by car; tickets are sold with a transfer from the city.

The Almaty Wine Festival 2019 was organised by KPK LLP, with Villa Dei Fiori as general partner. The organiser says it was a festival of international level such as Kazakhstan had never had. Guests tasted freely alongside winemakers from Old and New World houses; the ticket included a tasting glass, and the dress code asked for one red item of clothing.
