LVMH spent four years searching the world for the next great wine terroir. They found it at 2,600 meters in the Himalayas, where French missionaries had planted Cabernet Franc in the 1800s. The vines were still there. The Tibetan villagers still tended them. Now you can visit the estate where everything is made by hand by local Tibetan workers. Chew altitude pills. Watch prayer flags flutter above the vineyard. This is the only Grand Cru where harvests begin with Buddhist blessing ceremonies.
