Hasankeyf Cave Dwellings & Wine Heritage

Hasankeyf's 11,000-year cave settlement (20 civilizations: Assyrian, Roman, Byzantine) carved 300 monuments into limestone cliffs — caves served as homes, mosques, churches, workshops with multi-story water systems. Now flooded by Ilısu Dam (2020), but represents Mesopotamian wine culture's heart.
