Ted Lemon spent years in Burgundy before launching Littorai in 1993 to bring Burgundian Pinot Noir techniques to Sonoma Coast. Now on a 30-acre biodynamically managed estate with cows and sheep, producing the closest California Pinot to French benchmarks.

When he returned to California and founded Littorai in 1993, he brought Burgundian philosophy: indigenous yeast, whole-cluster fermentation, biodynamic farming. His wines from Hirsch and other extreme sites are among California's most Burgundian.
