Philipponnat

An old postcard of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, captioned "La bouteille. Les Goisses", promises "garanti sans aucun truquage": the slope's shape and its reflection in the canal give the illusion of a champagne bottle. In 1935 Pierre Philipponnat began buying that slope from several growers, to put it back together as one holding.
