10 stops · 1 week Bukhara Wine Route Bukhara was the intellectual center of the Islamic world - yet wine traditions persisted. Avicenna, the great Islamic scholar, wrote about wine's medicinal properties here. Visit ancient caravanserai where Silk Road traders rested, and taste wines from desert oasis vineyards. 2 stops · 2 days Samarkand Wine Route Uzbekistan has no official wine route; this is ours, and Samarkand province grows mostly table and raisin grapes. Wine has been made at the Khovrenko combine in Samarkand since 1868, when the merchant Dmitry Filatov began it. Its museum is in Filatov's house, and a tasting room pours the combine's wines and cognacs. In 1967 a hidden cellar with about 3,700 bottles was found at the combine. About 19 km from Registan, Bagizagan in Toyloq district is a family estate that began as a Soviet wine point in 1964 and harvested its own grapes from 2007. 2 stops · 2 days Tashkent Wine Route Uzbekistan has no official wine route; this is ours. Tashkent city has no vineyards: the vines are in Tashkent Region, which had about 19,000 ha in 2024. In the city, Chorsu Bazaar sells fresh and dried grapes, dried fruit and spices under a blue-domed hall built in 1983–1990, a World Heritage building since July 2026. About 50 km north-east, Parkent district is the Region's wine district. There, Château Hamkor in Namdanak village dates itself to 1992 and receives visitors for a tour and tasting. In late August, Zarkent village in the same district holds the Uzum Sayli grape festival.
