   The summit of Everest visible from here - you can't see it from base camp. This is THE view. At Kala Patthar (5,545m) - 1-2 hour hike FROM base camp - start at first light. Bring your bottle. Toast the summit from where you can actually SEE it. 5,545m. Few humans have stood here.
