Tanagra Archaeological Site
Ancient Tanagra was famous for its terracotta figurines, many depicting Dionysiac scenes. The archaeological area shows ancient city remains, though most famous finds are now in Athens. The fertile Boeotian plain was wine country in antiquity, and Tanagra's craft tradition included wine vessels.
