Parnassus Ski Center Region

Mount Parnassus, home to Apollo and the Muses in ancient myth, now offers both alpine ski culture in winter and high-altitude vineyard hikes in summer, where mountain terroir meets Mediterranean wine tradition.

What to do there

AdventureParnassus Ski Center RegionGreece's most developed ski resort area sits below Mount Parnassus's summit (2,457m). While skiing isn't ancient, the mountain was sacred to both Apollo and Dionysus. Summer hiking offers access to alpine meadows where Thyiades danced in winter. The après-ski culture in Arachova continues Greek wine drinking traditions.
